Ceramic is fused to 22kt Captek gold, producing esthetics that rival all-ceramic restorations. The unique gold color of the coping provides a more lifelike appearance at the gingival margin, making it ideal for conservative preparations. Captek exhibited less bacterial accumulation when compared to full coverage porcelain to gold crowns. Captek is highly biocompatible and corrosion resistant due to its metal alloy composition of 88% gold and 9% platinum group metals.
